Astek’s A7204-PMC 4Gbit, PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) provides maximum performance and low latency Fibre Channel connections to alleviate the I/O bottleneck due to the demands of high-performance distributed applications and data-intensive environments. This adapter is well suited for data warehousing, full motion video and host attach for mass storage subsystems, and telecom applications. The dual channel, 4Gbit, PMC host adapter provides redundant configurations and high availability solutions for Storage Area Networks (SANs). The A7204-PMC can auto-negotiate down to 1Gbit operation to assure backward compatibility with existing 1 Gbit SAN infrastructure and meets the requirements of today’s 4 Gbit SANs. The adapter family of productsconsists of optical fibre channel options and rear I/O capability.
