Astek has an opening for a board level layout designer who wants to design state of the art PWBs.  The designer will support our board product design and development team.  The designer will take schematics that have been created by engineers, perform component placement, place and route and create the gerber files for fabrication.  The designer will also be responsible for creating library components and performing signal integrity analysis on critical nets.  The ideal candidate will have:

1. Two or more years of board layout experience,
2. High speed layout experience (Ghz) requiring impedance controlled techniques such as microstrip and stripline.
3. Experience with designs requiring 2 to 16 layers.
4. Familiar with board stackup issues.
5. Experience with Mentor tool suite -> Expedition, Design Capture, Hyperlynx, Board Sim, Line Sim.
6. Associate degree in a technical field.
