Astek's Embedded Storage and Computing group focuses on technologies which bring advanced capabilities to the ISM and Mil-COTS application spaces.

Based on Astek's family of SAS expanders and SAS I/O Processors, Astek offers a number of application ready system products, and enclosures that can be provided for OEMs.

Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) implements switched point-to-point topology through SAS Expanders for large arrays (up to 1000s of devices) and for Storage Area Networking (SAN) similar to FibreChannel.

Astek's line of Host Bus Adapters (HBA) connect standard hard-disks to a host processor through PCI-X and PCI-Express.

In addition to our storage focused products, Astek now is partnered with LSI on delivery of the Tarari family of high performance network technologies for Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and general network processing.

Astek offers adapters to connect legacy bus technologies such as CompactFlash to modern SATA/SAS buses.
